There’s No Such Thing As Psychic Ability

This post is intended as a step forward in human evolution. A clearing of the mind of distractions, falsities, and lies. To free from our consciousness this disease… this plague of so-called psychics. People who claim to have “paranormal” abilities.

There is no such thing as Paranormal Ability, or ESP. Whatever you want to call it. Fact.

As soon as this topic is brought up, images of Sylvia Browne are conjured in most people. She’s the one who’s pretty much a permanent guest on the Montel Williams show, telling people that she can talk to dead people, foresee illness, and tell the future with her “Spirit Guide,” Francine. This woman is such a fraud – along with all the others.

Then there’s that Uri Gellar guy. Supposedly he can bend spoons, move things with his mind and all this garbage. A simple magician’s trick. See for yourself.

As you can see, it’s all nothing but simple tricks. Nothing “psychic” about any of this at all. In fact, that “Faith Healer” with the wireless radio reminds me of something a little like what happened with our President, George W. Bush. Didn’t he use a wireless radio while debating John Kerry? All these fakes need a little “prompting” now and then.

The following 2 clips are from my favorite radio show, The Paul Harris Show on KMOX in St. Louis. The first one is his radio interview with James Randi (1/24/2007). The second one is his interview with the creator of StopSylviaBrowne.com. Both worth a listen.

James Randi

Stop Sylvia Browne

Also, it should be noted that James Randi is offering $1,000,000 for anyone who can PROVE that they posses psychic abilities. Sylvia Browne has accepted this challenge, but that was back in September of 2001, and she still hasn’t actually stepped up and taken the test.

Sylvia Browne once told an audience member on the Montel Williams Show that she was having pains in her stomach because in her previous surgery, one of the doctors left a surgical instrument inside her. Her next bit of advice was for this woman to go have an MRI done.

Do you know what an MRI is? It stands for MAGNETIC Resonance Imaging. Anyone who has a surgical instrument inside themselves, entering a booth which is, essentially, a giant magnet is going to be in extreme pain, if not dead.

Liars, cheats and deceivers… every single one of them.

One final note on James Randi. My good friend Aaron wrote to James and his comment is posted on the site. You can read it here.

Read a book… not the future.

Its a shame that such fraudulent liars exist and blind people from the truth, Phsycic ability is indeed real and not fraud, I have had many dreams predicting the future and proved this to all those around me, However its not something one can just switch on and off, It happens or it doesn’t and you cannot have control over this.

Theres a place in your sleep where you can really see clearly and time is no barrier, The place this is, is right in between when you are awake and asleep, if you kind of ‘hang’ there, Nothing is impossible to predict I promise, Dont be put off because of fools like these!

No Enigma, there is no such thing as psychic powers. Your dreams can easily be explained by coincidence. To say that there is such a thing as “psychic ability” because occasionally events in your dreams match up with real life events in the future, is to dismiss the vast majority of your dreams that do not.

People have a propensity to believe the irrational, using all manner of coincidences as proof while ignoring those that do not.

Occasionally even *I* have had dreams, “premonitions”, and so forth that proved accurate. In light of the fact that these events form a diminutive fraction of my life experiences I can thus conclude that logically, the simplest answer (occam’s razor) is the correct one–and that is that such experiences are again, mere coincidence.

If you had seen the dreams i have had and the detail it was in there is no way you would say it was coincidence, Its scientifically explainable – pineal gland, Look it up sometime. peace.

    Hi all,

I have to disagree with this article. It’s getting a but old hat, all this. Psychic abilities, clairvoyance, precognition, countless other realms, spirits, demons, angels, enlightened beings, gods.. Etc etc etc.. All exist. There are countless esoteric traditions that all have their own way to develop the mind, to see these phenomena. As one gets rid if the shit inside their own mind, the more clear things start to become. When all our awareness is obscured by the thickness of the ego, our mind remains like a window, with the blind drawn down.

Every religion, at it’s core, is compassion, and the wish for others to be happy. When these states of are cultivated, our awareness opens up. Convincing a third party of any transendental phenomena is pointless. What’s needed is a willingness to let go of our own views, and accept that whatever we think about the nature of things, we may be wrong. Both the tightly religious, and the scientistic, would benefit from letting go a little, and at least listening to those with opposing views.

    Regarding transendental
phenomena, such as those mentioned above, As a practicing Buddhist, I won’t believe anything any religious teacher, or book, scriptures, or scientist tells me. I will
listen, and try the practices myself. I will
then draw conclusions as a result if my own direct experience. The need to gain approval from those who condem anything if a spiritual flavour, then greatly diminishes. All is left is an openness to people
and their own views, and a light mind, with a willingness to help others. Life then becomes very very interesting indeed..

    my advice to
myself, as hard as I find it sometimes, is to
listen more, rather than just waiting for my turn to speak. .. And on that note…..

Paul, you are very enlightened to the fact that things may not be as they seam. I think you have tried and found some truth in this as have I. I can tell you this that we are on the right path and if the others could just see or feel a touch of what we have seen then many lives could change for the better. You made a very important point to listen we can quiet our ego and hear the voice of truth and wisdom to lead our lives as we were suppose to. Life could realy be a box of chocolates but first you must open the box this is my analogy of allowing the wisdom to work and direct you.

Hi, I should just say that Psychic powers are NOT REAL! Okay, does everyone get that, NOT REAL!!!!!!! If you look at it from a scientific point of view you will find that there is no such thing, Predicting the future is impossible, by all of the laws of science it can’t be done because predicting every possible movement and alteration of the energy and matter of the universe required to actually predict anything cannot be done, often so called “premonitions” that come true are not actually true at all, I am not saying that these people are lying, but many times when people have these dreams that are realistic, then when they wake up they forget alot of the dream, when something happens that was similar to in the dream, like they recieved a similar meal or had a conversation with a friend who was in the dream they then fill in the balnks themselves without realizing that they have actually made it up, I know this because I keep a dream journal and have often had feelings like I predicted something in a dream, but EVERY SINGLE TIME, I went and read the dream journal where I wrote my dream down as soon as I woke up, I find that I have decieved myself. Now onto telekinesis, I will begin by saying that it isn’t real, telekinesis is impossible because moving objects with your mind cannot be done, you see all energy, dispite it’s form, from sunlight to electricity, is nothing more than particles moving through the air, these particles can not move physical objects because they have no substance, oh and don’t start with me about magnetic radiation moving metal because that is an entirely different issue, (seriously, do some actual research). Furthermore, I would inform you that the laws of thermodynamics would make it impossible to move things with your mind because the amount of energy required to move even small objects would be more than enough to kill you. Now, ESP, ESP is possible, that’s right, it can theoretically be done, but not by current day humans, you see the brains of all creatures give out electrical impulses, small amounts of this electro-magnetic radiation escape the skull and can be picked up with the right equipment, think about EEG equipment which works by reading these electrical impulses and interpreting them to find out if you brain is working the way it is supposed to. Theoretically, if an organism was to evolve a specific part of their brain to pick up these signals, then interpret them and project them to the organism, then it would work, however the amount of information in these impulses includes what these people are thinking, what they are seeing, what they are hearing, what they are saying and even what they are felling, so you would not just hear their thoughts. Additionally, this ability would have an extremely limited range, the electrical signals degrade geometrically the more distance that they cover, becoming weaaker and weaker (just think of why you can’t pick up radio stations from the other side of the world). So, in short, it can theortically be done, but humans CAN NOT DO IT, we do not have the required evolutionary ability. As for talking to the dead, this is also impossible since there are no such things as ghosts or spirits, sorry to burst your bubble but that is just how it is. Without going into this scientifically, lets just think about this rationally for a sec, over the entire history of the earth, hundreds of trillions of living creatures have died, so howcome no one ever talks to dinosaur ghosts, the amount to dead creatures and even humans would mean that these, so called psychics would be having ghost constantly around them, literally everywhere and do not say that therre would only be human ghosts because humans are special somehow because every rationsl person knows that humans are not any different from any other animal.

Now do not say that psychic abilities are paranormal and are therefore do not have to follow the laws of science, because that is total BS, science is simply the study of the universe, anything that exists in this universe can be explained by science and the laws we currently have are correct enough for anyone who looks at things from a scientific point of view to say with 100% certainty that these abilities are impossible. We really have to get over this, it is holding the human race back, there are no ghosts, there are no psychics, all current religeons are wrong and there probably isn’t any sort of afterlife for anyone, sorry but until everyone realizes this, we will never advance at a substantial speed.

There is purpose buddy and your fullfilling yours right now. I agree with all the paranormal psychic crap but this world did not get the way it is by ‘mere coincidence’. And I dont care how much science you know, becuase faith cannot be proven, its a choice you see. With or without it you can find your own happiness but with it you will find a certain warmth in the soul, like filling a hole inside you been missing.. so dont sit there and try and persuade Religon and Fate by reading a fuckin science book.

Faith is a choice- the choice to remain ignorant and blind to reality. Faith is nothing more than “wishful thinking” Sorry to break the news to you, but there are no such things as ghosts, devils, gods, heaven, etc etc. When you die, you are gone. Don’t like it? Too bad-suck it up, and live your life to the fullest and leave good memories behind- because that is all that will be left of you when you pass away- just another human being that perishes along with billions of others who have gone before them – and billions more who will share the same fate in the future.

      • Monday August 29, 2016 at 7:41 PM

sorry but you don’t know that there’s no such thing as God, etc. you can’t prove that. faith is not ignorant for there IS evidence of God look it up yourself.there are no proven psychic powers and I don’t believe in them but there ARE possibilities of things beyond the realm of physical science that scientists can’t explain.

        • Thursday September 1, 2016 at 3:12 PM

The problem with what you’re saying is that it’s not up to anyone to prove that there’s no such thing as a god. As with any claim, if someone is saying it’s true, it’s up to them to PROVE that it’s true. It’s why our legal system is “innocent until proven guilty.” If the state says you committed some crime, it’s up to them to prove it. You don’t have to prove that you didn’t do it.

If you say there’s a god, it’s up to you to prove that it exists. Essentially, atheists are people who think the “evidence” presented to prove that god exists isn’t good enough.

So, what is your evidence that a god exists?

They just don’t want the masses of people believing that they actually have power within themselves. If everybody on this planet was Enlighten, this world would be in a higher place then where it is right now. Think about it, if many masses of people could open up to there higher selves the world would be in a better place, but because we have the media controlled, and many sheep that follow and believe the lies that they expose to everybody, people will continue to live in a box because they only see the reality of how it was program to look. People need to open up there eyes and see that this reality is nothing but an illusion and if you close yourself off from not seeing the illusion for what it is, you’ll always see it that way because they are trying to control everybody so the people that are in power can control us like sheep because they want people to be dumb and stupid so that we just listen to what they say. People need to wake up and stop letting people tell YOU what to believe in. “Beliefs” are nothing more then just a ‘system’ to keep people in cults so instead of people coming together , they separate the people because they want people to be against each other and always question “Truth” because in reality , they created so called “truth” in all religions so that people could always question and never really fully know what the real truth is. THE TRUTH IS, YOU are the one that has the truth in you, and it’s not in a book, it’s not in what people tell you, It’s in YOU. In your own consciousness. Open it up and take a look, maybe then you will see that thinking for yourself and not what others tell you is probably the best decision you’ll ever make in your life.

What i was seeing with this psycic consept is its about instincts-cause i have this effect. And funny when i sense it-9 times outta 10 it usually naturally happens. Ive also been through alot of tourcher through life thats been teaching me things that may be the reason why i have this ability-like a simple natural common sense effect-only mine is stronger cause of the rougher teaching tourchers ive went through but never gave up seeing the glass half full also learning what doesnt kill you makes you stronger and tends to open the eyes more-especially if you where taught well before age 7 that’s called first impressionization taught born till the ages of 5-7. Thats when the baby is paying alot of attention to everything nomatter what because its doesnt know alot of whats going on in life yet and its like gods forcing it to teach it for the rest of its future life positively if the teachings correct- ex. if the kid kicks and screams-choice id want is h2o in its eyes-not smacked to future neg. behaviors.
