A Great Reason To Change Your Passwords

This program/browser plug-in is called ObPwd. What it does (this is genius), is generate a password from, say, selected text, media files, pictures, mp3s… any type of file.

So, instead of using the same password for every account you have, you can use your music library. If you open up ObPwd (the Windows program version), it will ask you for a file. Select a file and ObPwd will generate a password using some type of algorithm.

The FireFox plug-in works in essentially in the same way. You can select text, an image, a link; right-click on it and you get the option to “Get ObPwd from…” It’s great.

Effective passwords, easy to remember. You don’t really have to remember anything. Just your favorite song. ObPwd will generate a password from anything.

I thought this was definitely worth mentioning.
